John King - Technical Director
John is a Piedmont native where he attended Woodmont High School (Class of 2010). John attend the College of Charleston where he graduated in 2014 with a degree in Theatre with a concentration in Scenic Design and Lighting Design. In 2014, John participated in KCACTF and went on to win at the Regional and National level for his Lighting Design of Arlene Hutton's, As it is in Heaven, taking home The Barbizon Award for Excellence in Lighting Design. After college, John went on to attend The Juilliard School's Electrics internship for a year. After completing his internship, John went on to work in New York City as a Freelance Electrician and Master Electrician working at such Theaters as The Juilliard School, Lincoln Center, Fisher Center for Performing Arts, The Public Theater, The Signature Center, Abrons Art Center, HERE Arts Center and was the Freelance Technical Director for Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. John is thankful to call Mill Town Players his new home. John is looking forward to working on many productions to come!
