About Our Director

Will Ragland is delighted to serve as Mill Town Player's Executive Artistic Director. He has worked in Upstate theaters for 20 years, mainly as an actor and scenic designer. He also teaches theater at Palmetto High School, where he has founded the Mustang Stage Company.

Directing credits include Grease, A Christmas Carol, Dark of the Moon, Always Patsy Cline, The Wizard of Oz, Hair, Peter Pan, The Comedy of Errors, Grease, Oedipus the King, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Romeo and Juliet, Guys and Dolls, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Wiley and the Hairy Man, The Odyssey, Macbeth, The Jungle Book, and Alice in Wonderland.

Will is a product of Anderson 1 schools, holds a BA in Studio Art from Davidson College, and an MA in Theatre Production from Central Washington University. He is enjoying his first year teaching in Anderson 1 (13 years formerly in Greenville County Schools), is a board member of the SC Theatre Association, was a 2010 recipient of the Greenville First “Best and Brightest under 35” in the Greenville Business Magazine, was the 2012-13 Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year, and is a member of Class 41 of Leadership Greenville.

Will is grateful for the opportunity to bring quality, affordable live theater to the Pelzer community.
